Who Is Allah?
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Say: He is God, the One. (Quran 112:1)

Who is Allah in Islam? Not a foreign or tribal god, but the one Creator — beyond comparison, yet closer to you than your own heartbeat.
لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِۦ شَىْءٌ
There is nothing whatever like unto Him.

The Name Itself
Allah is simply the Arabic word for God — the same word Arabic-speaking Jews and Christians have always used. It is not the name of a tribal deity or a foreign god. It points to the one Reality behind all things: the Creator who was not created, the First with no beginning and the Last with no end.
Beyond Comparison
Islam insists that God is utterly unlike His creation. He has no equal, no partner, no rival, no image. Whatever you imagine, He is not that — for the imagination only works with things it has seen. And yet He is not distant. He is described by ninety-nine beautiful names: the Merciful, the Loving, the Forgiving, the Light.
Closer Than You Think
The Quran says God is 'closer to you than your jugular vein' (50:16). He is not a clockmaker who wound up the universe and walked away. He sees, He hears, He responds. To know Him is the reason you were made — and the deepest longing of every human heart, whether it admits it or not.
Everything else in this faith is a footnote to this one Name.
