What Is Dua — Islam's Most Personal Prayer?
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ

Talking to God Directly
If the formal prayer (salah) is structured, dua is free. It is simply talking to God — in any language, any words, at any moment. There is no script and no intermediary. You can ask for anything, confess anything, thank Him for anything, exactly as it is in your heart.
Always Heard
God invites it directly: 'call upon Me, I will respond.' He is never too busy, never irritated by being asked. The Prophet ﷺ taught that the supplication of every sincere caller is answered — granted, or saved for later, or exchanged for something better.
A Lifeline in the Dark
Dua is the believer's refuge when the world goes quiet — the whispered word at midnight, the cry in the hospital corridor, the gratitude on an ordinary morning. It is the privilege of speaking, directly and without appointment, to the One who holds everything.
You do not need the right words to make dua — you only need to begin, because the One listening already knows the rest.
