The Night the Quran Descended
Laylat al-Qadr — the Night of Power or Decree — marks the night the Quran began to be revealed. It falls in the last ten nights of Ramadan, and the Quran says worship on this single night is better than a thousand months — more than a lifetime of devotion compressed into hours.

Its exact date is concealed, most likely on an odd night of the last ten, so that believers seek it across many nights rather than just one. God hides His greatest gifts to draw out our longing — rewarding the one who keeps knocking, not knowing exactly when the door will open.
A Night of Mercy
On this night, the Quran describes angels descending and peace prevailing until dawn. It is a night for sincere prayer and seeking forgiveness; the Prophet ﷺ taught that whoever stands in prayer that night with faith has their past sins forgiven. A single night can reset a life.
Once a year, heaven leaves a door ajar in the dark — and the whole reward of a lifetime waits behind it.
