Who Are the Prophets?
وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولًا
We sent to every nation a messenger. (Quran 16:36)

Who are the prophets in Islam? Human messengers from Adam to Muhammad ﷺ — all honored, all carrying one message: worship the one God.
لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ
We make no distinction between any of His messengers.

Chosen, Not Divine
Prophets in Islam are the best of humanity — chosen by God to carry His guidance — but they are human, never divine. They ate, slept, grieved and were tested like everyone else. Their greatness lay in their truthfulness, patience and total devotion to God.
The Same Single Message
From Adam to Muhammad ﷺ, every prophet brought one core message: there is only one God, worship Him alone, and prepare for the life to come. The details of law varied with time and place, but the heart of the call never changed across the centuries.
A Chain Completed
Muslims love and honor them all — Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus and the rest, peace be upon them. Muhammad ﷺ is the final link in this long chain, the 'Seal of the Prophets,' after whom no new revelation comes.
The prophets were not founders of rival faiths, but messengers of one faith, repeating across the ages a single tireless invitation home.
