What Does Islam Say About Money & Wealth?
وَءَاتُوهُم مِّن مَّالِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ
And give them from the wealth of God which He has given you. (Quran 24:33)

What does Islam say about money? Wealth is a blessing and a trust — earn it cleanly, spend it generously, and never let the love of it master your heart.
نِعْمَ ٱلْمَالُ ٱلصَّٰلِحُ لِلْمَرْءِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِ
How excellent is good wealth in the hands of a righteous person.

Not Evil — A Trust
Islam does not condemn wealth or praise poverty. Money is a gift and a tool, and many of the Prophet's ﷺ companions were wealthy. What matters is how it is earned and spent. All of it is ultimately God's, lent to us, and we will be asked how we used it.
Clean Earning
Islam forbids gaining wealth through interest, fraud, gambling, exploitation or harm. It commands fair trade, honest contracts, paying workers promptly, and giving the poor their due through zakat. Prosperity is welcomed — predatory prosperity is not.
The Hidden Danger
The risk is not money itself but love of it — the way it can harden the heart, breed arrogance, and crowd out God. Islam keeps wealth in its place: a servant, never a master; a means to do good, never the measure of a person's worth.
Hold wealth in your hand, Islam says, but never let it into your heart.
